The Mystery of Sunset
Mountains bathed in shades of blues
from a fiery sunset’s golden hues.
Amber rays reflect on clouds of white
as another day slowly fads
into another night.
With sky drenched in pinks, reds and golds,
the sun slips behind the mountain's folds.
Ever so swiftly vanishing from eyes’ sight,
another day quietly eases
into another night.
Clothed in royal garb and a crown of gold,
the sun anoints the mountains to hold
it’s orange-red treasure of mystic fire-light,
while another day softly changes
into another night.
Splashed in orange, pink and red shades,
the clouds guard its passage as the sun fades;
into its mountain chambers, secure and tight;
and another day gently turns
into another night.
